With 18 feature films, 4 AFI awards and a further 5 nominations, Chris Kennedy is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected production designers.

Chris was nominated for a Satellite Award for his work as production designer on John Hillcoat’s celebrated feature The Road, and he received the coveted Byron Kennedy Award at the 2005 AFI Awards for designing Hillcoat’s The Proposition starring Ray Winstone, Guy Pearce, Danny Huston and Emily Watson.

Chris worked as designer on telemovies Killing Time, Curtin, Stiff and The Brush Off and the feature films Angel Baby, Cosi, Dirty Deeds, Spotswood and Ghosts… of the Civil Dead among many others.

Chris recently worked on John Hillcoat’s latest feature Lawless (formerly The Wettest County) written by Nick Cave, which will have its world premiere at Cannes. He was also production designer on Jack Irish, to screen ABC 2012, produced by Essential Media and starring Guy Pearce.
