Steven Jones-Evans is one of the Australia’s most experienced and prolific designers. He is currently working on the feature Hotel Mumbai (dir. Anthony Maras) having just completed completed work on the feature Breath (dir. Simon Baker). Recent credits include The Daughter (dir. Simon Stone), Partisan (wr/dir. Ariel Kleiman), The Railway Man (dir. Jonathan Teplitzky) starring Colin Firth, the NBC Universal/Matchbox television series Camp, Adoration (dir. Anne Fontaine), Burning Man (dir. Jonathan Tepliztky), The Hunter (dir. Daniel Nettheim) and The Tree (dir. Julie Bertuccelli). He designed Unthinkable, Buffalo Soldiers, Two Hands and Ned Kelly (all directed by Gregor Jordan), Metal Skin and Romper Stomper (all directed by Geoffrey Wright), as well as the 1998 television series Wildside (dir. Michael Jenkins).
Steven’s work has earned many nominations and awards including the AFI award for Best Production Design in 1995 for Metal Skin and again in 2003 for Ned Kelly for which he also won the IF award for Best Production Design.
