Louis is currently shooting Dr Blake Mysteries for ABC/December Films. He has shot some of Australia’s best television shows including Foxtel’s Spirited and Tangled for directors Jessica Hobbs, Stuart McDonald and Matthew Saville, as well as the ABC’s Bastard Boys for director Ray Quint. Louis was nominated for an AFI award for his work on Love My Way and shot telemovies The Falls for director Peter Andrikidis and The Alice for director Kate Dennis. His other credits include The Cooks, White Collar Blue and Packed to the Rafters, as well as 1995 feature film Mushrooms, for which he won a Gold Australian Cinematographer Society (ACS) Award.

Louis began his career as a camera operator on the seminal Australian films Newsfront, My Brilliant Career and Heatwave.
