Simon Ozolins is a multi-award-winning cinematographer, most recently shooting the six part television series Tomorrow When the War Began (dir. Brendan Maher). He also shot the feature film Crawlspace (dir. Justin Dix). His short film credits include The Wake (dir. Gemma Lee), which received the SBS Short Film Award and was selected for the Palm Springs and Tribeca Film Festivals, Dugong (dir. Erin White), which screened at Sundance and received an AFI Award Nomination for Best Short Film, and 62 Sleeps, which won Best Short Film at both Sydney and Berlin Film Festivals.
Simon’s commercial credits extend into the hundreds and he has won several Gold ACS Awards for his work. He has a significant reputation in the music video industry, shooting the ARIA award winning video ‘Walking on a Dream’ for Empire of the Sun and Billy Thorpe’s ‘Tangier’, for which he received the National Golden Tripod Award.
