Noni Hazlehurst AM is one of Australia’s favourite and most respected actors and presenters.
The beloved Playschool presenter, Better Homes and Gardens host, and celebrated film, theatre and TV actress has undoubtedly one of the most impressive and wide-ranging career portfolios in the business.
During her time on Playschool she has recorded many albums and appeared in many Children’s concerts together the SSO. She continues to work with the MSO.
The winner of four AFIs (Little Fish, Waiting At The Royal, Fran, Monkey Grip), seven AFI nominations, two Logies (Best Supporting Actress in a Mini-series for Waterfront, Best Supporting Actress in a Mini-series for Ride On Stranger), and an Order of Australia, just to name a few of the awards bestowed on her, Noni’s versatility and talent have made her a household name for more than 30 years.
She added another award to an impressive list when she was bestowed an Honorary Doctorate of Philosophy from Flinders University in South Australia..
National Ambassador for children’s charity Barnardos, and spokesperson for children’s financial literacy program, “Finance First”, Noni is also an in-demand writer, penning articles for newspapers and magazines and contributing to several books. Her recent speech at Currency House’s Arts and Public Life Breakfast was widely reported and reproduced. She has served on numerous boards, including Film Australia and Belvoir St Theatre and is a popular public speaker.
