Our play catalogue is available here. Please read on for information about applying for amateur rights.
All plays are protected by copyright. It’s necessary for the amateur rights of our playwrights’ works to be licensed under the standard terms and conditions of our Amateur Rights Licence which ensures playwrights are adequately compensated for their writing. When you’ve applied for the amateur rights we’ll check there’s no bar on the rights, either from an existing professional licence or from another amateur company or educational institution planning to produce the same work at a nearby theatre.
Licence fees for amateur rights are as follows:
Amateur Theatre/Musical Societies
* $170 per performance + GST (if applicable) or 10% Gross Box Office (GBO) whichever is greater
*$150 per performance + GST (if applicable) or 10% Gross Box Office (GBO) whichever is greater
*$220 per performance + GST (if applicable) or 10% Gross Box Office (GBO) whichever is greater
